It seems like the only way to get our receivers open is by illegal picks. Its been like this for over 3 years now, doesn’t matter who is the qb either! Oct 26, 2011 · I like our receiving core and believe they can get separation. So why can't we copy some of these other team's routes to see if we also can get WR's open? Pickens and DJ I know can get separation. Typically in the NFL guys don't run "wide open" unless there is a breakdown in coverage or a guy "sits" in an opening in a zone.
