The latter pollutes your namespace and can give unpredictable results depending on what's going on in module. Worse still is doing from module import * with multiple modules. To load it, I have to Import-Module C:\MyModules\ExampleModule Interestingly, in both cases, doing Get-Module -ListAvailable, shows the modules, but it won't import.
