On this America's 238th birthday, ABC6/FOX28 News found American flags flying at people's homes, businesses and even on our person. One woman had set the American flag proudly in her hair. So, Reporter Chris Vanocur asked a number of people what comes to mind when they fly the flag. Leslie Weilbacher told us, "We are living the American dream. We've got our little house. "We've got our own business. We are raising our own family and that's what it's about." Leslie's husband, Jamie, added, "The American flag is important to me just because I like America. I want to show that I like America, that I approve of America and support America." Nearby, another flag honors America's brave soldiers -- past and present. Ben Wright, a former U.S. Army captain said, "I fly it every day... I spent eight years in the Army, so it's a good way to sort of pay tribute to the folks in uniform." Finally, Vanocur ran into Kimberly Gibbs who decided to wear a flag scarf in her hair. You could call it a "Red, White and Blue-do."
