YouTube Excerpt: "Strange" is a really great Patsy Cline country song with a lot of emotion and a lovely-sounding rock 'n' roll rhythm & lead guitar. Unfortunately, it was released as the B-side to her hit single "She's Got You" which charted at #14 on Billboard, #1 on Billboard's Country chart, and #11 on Cash Box on March 17, 1962. "Strange" only charted at #97 on Billboard ... the tragic destiny of most B-side singles in the 50's and early 60's which often were as good if not better than the A-sides. Later in the 60's and certainly by the 70's B-sides of singles were mostly humdrum filler tracks from the LPs the A-sides were taken from. "Strange" has a lot of pathos in it that makes the song a perfect match for this clip starring Griffin Dunne ("An American Werewolf in London" and "After Hours") and Deborah Unger ("Whispers In The Dark," "Crash," and "White Noise"). Again, this is from the David Lynch intended anthology series "Hotel Room" that was canceled after three episodes. This clip is from episode 2, "Getting Rid of Robert."
