Web Reference: MySQL CREATE VIEW Statement In SQL, a view is a virtual table based on the result-set of an SQL statement. A view contains rows and columns, just like a real table. The fields in a view are fields from one or more real tables in the database. To create the view explicitly in a given database, use db_name.view_name syntax to qualify the view name with the database name: Unqualified table or view names in the SELECT statement are also interpreted with respect to the default database. In this tutorial, you will learn how to create views in MySQL by using CREATE VIEW statement.
