Then we are going to color in some datapoints. I prepared a dataset corresponding to the monthly average temperature in some city over the course of a year. First I color the datapoints according to the temperature, but that is boring and redundant. We can also include information from a different column of the data file and encode it in color. This allows you to pack more information into a plot without making it appear cluttered. The font used in the thumbnail is called Inconsolata by Raph Levien.
