How I achieve the perfect colors for my enamel pins

After designing several products and having the colors come out exactly how I wanted, I can say it was the best $200 I’ve spent 🙏🏽 If you are not familiar with this, Pantone is the color guide that most companies use for design and manufacturing. It’s pretty much the universal language for color. When designing products for print or manufacturing, these color codes allow manufacturers to achieve the exact color you want. I use this Pantone color book when picking out colors for my enamel pins 😊 It allows me to communicate to my manufacturer the exact colors I want. Because colors on a screen vary depending on what you are viewing it on (phone, laptop etc.) it won’t always look the same when your design is printed / manufactured. This codes helps avoid any surprises when it comes to color when making my enamel pins 🥰👌🏽 ✨for example when making my coffee pin, I design it in procreate and color it using the colors I like. Then I’ll use the Pantone book and try to find a color similar to what I used in procreate. I then give those color codes to my manu. and they are able to mix the exact colors I want for my pin 😊 If you are an artist or small business that makes products, hopefully you found this helpful 🫶🏽
