YouTube Excerpt: I bought this Dark Charizard Holo for about $25. The card features a long, deep crease on the front, several dents both along the edges and in the center, and it is quite dirty. Step 1: Cleaning As an initial intervention, I clean the surface by applying small amounts of Card Care spray using gentle circular motions. The card is already much cleaner afterward. Step 2: Polishing Next, I apply the polish on the holo part. It doesn’t remove the scratches completely, but it does reduce their appearance. It’s important to polish immediately before the scratches harden. Step 3: Reducing Dents To remove the dents, I place the card in a humidor set at 75% humidity for 30 minutes. This makes it easier to work on the more prominent creases. Step 4: Addressing the Major Crease and Surface Indents Since there are several surface indents and to tackle the largest crease, I left the card in contact with the Card Care spray for 48 hours, re-humidifying every 12 hours. Voila! Many of the pressed areas, including the crease, have reduced or disappeared. This card will still not receive a high grading, but I have definitely recovered a lot of its original condition without altering its texture.
