YouTube Excerpt: As awesome as CSS variables are, there is a problem with that, and that is (as of the filming of this video), browser support is far from perfect, sitting at just below 78%. That means we need to create fallbacks for browsers (like, you guessed it, IE!), which don't understand CSS variables. On the plus side, it's SUPER easy to create fallbacks (did you see how long this video is? It's super short because it's super easy to do). The downside is, it's kind of redundant, and sort of kills the magic of them... luckily, Sass can rescue us from this issue, but that's for the next video!
