FINALE is over... Is MUSESCORE really the future of music notation?

Web Reference: I've been using Finale PrintMusic for only a short time, so I'm not that familiar with it. I'm working with an author to produce a music theory and history book which will be printed. Music notation examples are included in the book, so I chose Finale to produce them. After a few fits and bumps, I've been able to produce music notation that looks very nice. The musx notation is converted to a ... Jul 11, 2023 · Using Finale 2014.5 on a Mac. The issue is with an Opus Special font symbol. The symbol appears correctly on the screen when viewed as a Finale document. But when I create PDFs there are problems. If I choose print, save as PDF, the symbol does not appear at all. Finale 2002b, 2003a, 2004b, 2005b, Win XP SP3, 2011b Win 7 64bit, 2012a Bought and Paid For (Hopefully soon 2012b with some of the MAJOR BUGS fixed--well, now with 2012b and some of the bugs are fixed) 2012c, with some bug fixes. 2014c at present.
