I even had Alembic mount a 5-pin input/output jack on my Signature Deluxe MK 5 string, so I do not ever have to be concerned with them (batteries)! Biggest thing I miss about not having a Series bass anymore... Nov 28, 2003 · It looks really nice, but it's a different concept-- for some reason they decided to make a full-featured bass head instead of a "pedal platform" like the powerstage 700 (which is basically a power amp with a simple 3-band EQ). I found this a bit perplexing, as more bassists have been using separate preamps and power amps for quite a bit longer than guitarists, generally speaking.
